Spain is a smorgasbord of historic treasures, natural wonders and world re-known festivities to celebrate it all. A feast to the senses with plenty of alternatives to disparaging tastes... Do you prefer sunny beaches? Woodsy mountains? Quaint villages? Sprawling metropolis? You got it. Really.
To try to sell Spain is like trying to promote oxygen... What is not to like it? In fact, chances are that if you are reading these pages it is because you have already shown some interest for this diversified country (Did you know we have four different languages? Did you know our ancestors are a mixed lot form Northern Europe and Africa? That we have historic legacy from Greek, Roman, Arabian, and Visigothic cultures?).. All that is left to say is that the centric location of this apartment is equidistant to all of those wonders. Right smack in the middle so it can become your home base for all of your field trips across Spain.
Right in the middle of things
Yes, Madrid's centric location was not by chance. When king Phillip II decided to move the government of his empire to this city in 1561, he knew he had all his domains within easy reach... That remains even truer today with bullet trains taking you to sunny Seville in two hours or beautiful Barcelona in five. From Madrid you can take day trips to the previous empire capital, Toledo, or the still medieval city of Ávila, or to gorgeous Salamanca (the first university town in Europe!). Hourly airplanes take you to most other European capitals within two hours. Madrid is definitely the place to be... Trust Phil, he built the largest empire ever "where the sun never sets" after all.
